Generally, I say there are about 13 tunes played in any given WXYC musical hour.  You know, on average.  Perhaps due to my entry point into rotation, there were but 16 tunes in this 2-hour shift.

Submitted for your perusal, the text record for this show of the long tunes:

6/11/9 19:00-21:00

Thanks for the many fine requests.  I believe I got ‘em all in, thems’ I could find, anyways, long-tune-syndrome notwithstanding.

And yep, I played the whole 17:17 of the Eternal Tapestry B side.  I was not in the mood to exerpt it in any way, whatsoever, because it’s just that good, and I really wanted to hear the whole thing without breaks or interruptions.  Hopefully I wasn’t alone in that, which was perhaps the dominant selection affecting the total tunage, N, for this evening.

And yeah, I’m a tad down… I can’t believe the Phillies folded up like a damned old webbed aluminum lawn chair, this week.  I mean, Cliff Lee got them started out so sweet and solid—on Yankee turf, even—and then they go ***home*** and roll over like a littering of hognosed snakes.  Except Chase.  At least he hung in there.

Here’s to February 2010.  And whaddaya know: Looks like some pitchers and catchers report on my birthday, this time around.

Nearly slept through this, but woke in time to make it… Feel lots better than last week, especially considering I did this entire show *sans* diet Coke.  It’s true.

I call this the “Headcleaner” show:

30/10/9 19:00-21:00

Got some crazy, fun calls, some fun requests, and because the MF Doom is not on the shelf, again (it sporadically disappears), we were one short.  Bummer, eh?
Seriously, that was one of the best worst Canadian accents I’ve heard.
(It wasn’t requested, but I tried to find the Danger Doom CD, looking for any MF Doom, and it also eluded my search.)

OK. Well, I’m jonesin’ for the cola, man, so I’m outta here….

I’m sure it *ain’t* no hoggish respiratory viral infiltration, but I’m also pretty sure *my body* is convinced that it’s being attacked by (sub?)microscopic alien invaders, whether it is, or not.

I’m glad there’s been no launch of a respiratory/pulmonary defense, but the lymph system has been called up, and I feel like I took diphenhydramine (but I most definitely have not).  So, physically I feel like *blecccccccccchumf*, and I really have no idea if it’s reflected in the show I did tonight, or not.  Only the listeners know for sure:

23/10/9 19:00-21:00

I managed to score a Nightlight ticket winner, and a request, *and* I did my best to play stuff to trigger (at least) my own cascade of alertness, but inside this dj’s skin, the things going on *outside* the skin seemed distant and dream-like.

It came on during sleep…  That is, I went to sleep feeling just fine, woke up 12+ hours later (a lengthy surprise, in itself) in a sludgy fog that ain’t liftin’.  Blecccch.

If my caffeinated beverage of choice *is* having any effect, I can’t tell (I’ve consumed 24 oz. just in the writing of this).

I wanted to write about the spectacular dance energy that was the Art Brut party Monday night at the Cradle (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but I’m leider zu zu zu schleppend.

Ach.  As they say.

Vielleicht später?

Hoffentlich.

…and Happy Birthday, Mrs. McGowan, where ever you are!  Perhaps all I really needed tonight was one of your infamous jabs to the diaphram!

Orionids! (meteor shower peaks this week)

•Saturday, October 17, 2009 ... 1:33 • Leave a Comment

!

I forgot to mention this during the radio show.

Hopefully you’ll be able to hear/read about this in other places this week so you’ll know, but in case ya don’t, this is your official meteor shower alert!

The Orionids are expected to peak Thursday morning, October 22, with heightened activity between the 21 – 23.  Add to this formula that the new moon happens this week, and ya gets lotsa dark to see more activity, easier; hopefully you’ll not be plagued with cloud cover.

I found a nice, simple Orionids write-up at this blog.  I’m nabbing their Orionid radiant illustration because it’s really easy to understand; click it to check out their blog:

The link to Robert Lunsford’s more-detailed, weekly shower write-up is always in the lower right hand column on this blog (under Astronomy  “This week’s meteor showers”); if you don’t feel like scrolling down, just click here.  If you go there, you’ll see there’s tons more than the Orionids going on.  Those with the need to wish upon a star are in grand luck this week.  The Southern Taurids are kicking out the jams, as are the Leonis Minorids, and there are several other showers in various stages of activity.

According to Lunsford, the early morning, pre-dawn hours are currently best, but if you look to a clear, dark night sky during the evening, you should be able to see at least one shooting star, if you have several minutes to burn.

Yikes! Typos abound in this week’s flowsheet:

16/10/9 19:00-21:00

Meant to correct some of them, but forgot, the others I only just saw. Oh well.

“Vis A Vis” was the name of the *group* on that Ghana 2-disc-compilation, not the song title (the track I played was on the first disc, can’t remember the name (it’s in a foreign language I don’t speak)); the Dave Fox track was something about “Of All the Tapas Bars…” but now I can’t remember the full title; and good god, what I did to Einstürzende Neubauten… forgetting to capitalize the N, and ***then*** there’s the dativ for what is actually an akkusativ Pronoun: es soll “Für Wen Sind Die Blumen?” nicht wem.  Embarassing.  Really, really embarassing.  I’ll live.  The “n” and “m” are too close together on the keyboard.  lame excuse, I know, but I’m going for it.

Typos aside, tonight was a blast!  Excellent shows in town always help, and when I gots tickets to distribute to those excellent shows, evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvverything is beautiful.  The requests were fab, and I was able to find all the things requested, too.

I have no idea how things are going for the rest of the world, but the astrological weather report is spot on for me.  I can barely take a step without tripping on a trine or sextile; no doubt about it, life is ganz geil.  120º rocks, and I love it.

Thanks fer lissnin’ n requestin n every little thang that makes it great! Till next week (or maybe a day or two or three sooner)!

…our 9pm dj was running a little late, and then, there was a surprise interview at 9:50 with Slasher Risk, who was featured as the Inside Track, their new self-titled CD on Obsolete Units, and in all the excitement, I ended up not really checking over the end of this flowsheet.  Live radio, man.  One of the few things left that captures life as it happens, raw and unedited.  Yea, though the flowsheet as yet reflects the chaos of the live moment, I am gonna maybe check and see if we can alter the flow sheet to at least show the Slasher Risk stuff.  The deal is, starting at ~8:15, this text record is not complete.  I got the audio mp3s of it all, tho’, so if you need to know something specific, just shoot me an email.

More or less (likely less), this is what went down:

9/10/9 19:00-21:00

Anyways, after I had announced Slasher Risk was our Inside Track, I pushed play, the phone rang, and it was… Andy with Slasher Risk!

He said they’d just flown into RDU, they were on I-40 headed this way, and wanted to know if it was OK if they dropped by.  Like, yes.  Like, chapel Hell-yeah.

And so they did, and we did, and now, thanks to the miracle of live radio, we all know that no matter where Phil’s shoes may be today, come Saturday, November 21, Slasher Risk will be at Nightlight, touring along with Grasshopper, and appearing with notorious local noisemaker and secret boyfriend, Ryan Martin.

I’m betting you know what this is:

2/10/9 19:00-21:00

You guessed it.  Yet another instance of dirty deeds, done dirt cheap at WXYC between 7 and 9pm on a Friday night.

P.S.  I would *never* short-change a (Bon Scott edition) AC/DC request.

P.P.S.  If someone would like to donate AC/DC’s Let There Be Rock CD, please drop me a line:   eternalreturn /at/ been-there.com  (and make sure ya use the hyphen).  If you try to donate the CD to our library in general, I suspect it will be diverted to “recycle,”  kinda the same way our wonderful Monkees’ CD set from Rhino was removed from the shelves and “recycled.”  I wonder how much cash that brought in, and who actually got the proceeds.

P.P.P.S.  No, I am *still* not over the culling of those Monkees’ CDs and the only thing that will probably ever heal the wound is their official return to our library.

Damn it.

Happier aspects than September, foe show.

SuntrineJupiter Sun trine Jupiter.  Saturday, 10 October 04:37
This influence is about growth and expansiveness. We are more aware of moral issues, and have a desire to improve and learn. Optimism and confidence are basic elements in the energy of this transit. We are more willing to take a risk or two, and we are motivated by a desire to impress others. Enthusiasm runs high, and cooperation comes easy. This is generally a good time to schedule new beginnings in business, education, personal relationships, marriage, creative projects, and so forth, all things equal.

Sun trine Neptune. Thursday, 16 October 20:46
We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence.

Pluto Sun sextile Pluto. Saturday, 24 October 05:57
Research brings rewards. We benefit now from strategy and keeping things to ourselves for the time being. Opportunities to find or renew something we had lost, and to gain some power are available now.

Mars Sun square Mars. Thursday, 29 October 03:55
We have “spring fever” no matter what the season. Driven by a restless desire to do something, without a well-defined goal we tend towards impulsive actions and get ourselves into needless arguments. Our reactions tend to be defensive or competitive. We are not very willing to compromise or negotiate. We are more inclined to injury and accident. Energy output can run high if we choose to focus.

Mars Sun conjunct Mercury. Thursday, 5 November 03:02
We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!

Mercury/opposition Mercury ENDS retrograde motion. Tuesday, 29 September 09:13

Mercurysextilemars Mercury sextile Mars. Thursday, 1 October 01:59
Mental alertness, enthusiasm, and energetic communications figure now. Quick decisions can be made. We are productive and take “busy-ness” in stride. We are alert and aware, and can easily turn ideas into workable projects.

Mercurysextilemars Mercury sextile Mars. Sunday, 4 October 07:37
Mental alertness, enthusiasm, and energetic communications figure now. Quick decisions can be made. We are productive and take “busy-ness” in stride. We are alert and aware, and can easily turn ideas into workable projects.

MercuryoppositionUranus Mercury opposite Uranus. Sunday, 4 October 17:05
We are distracted. Our communications get lost or are misunderstood. Disagreements with others are quite possible. It’s not a good time to present an argument or an important idea.

MercuryconjunctionSaturn Mercury conjunct Saturn. Thursday, 8 October 02:34
Our ability to concentrate and focus is enhanced now. There could be an increased need for solitude in order to think or work. Travel for business purposes is possible. Thinking in realistic and practical terms, and the need for tangible results for our efforts, is indicated. We might receive serious news or practical advice, or engage in an important conversation. This can mark the start of a new project that involves communications, such as writing, speaking, reporting, etc.

MercuryLibra Mercury re-enters Libra. Friday, 9 October 23:45

MercurysquarePluto Mercury square Pluto. Saturday, 10 October 14:44
The tendency to read between the lines with a negative slant is strong during this transit, and can easily stir up trouble. Suspiciousness, making mountains out of molehills, telling others only what we want them to know are possible themes. Mental anxiety or troubles could manifest now. We should try to avoid forcing our ideas on others and strive to maintain an open mind. Compulsive thinking is possible. On the other hand, this influence can suggest the ability to engage in deep, penetrating communication.

MercurysquarePluto Mercury trine Jupiter. Tuesday, 20 October 17:49
Looking for meaning in mundane affairs, positive thinking, insights, cooperation–these are themes of this influence. Our ideas are big and our intentions noble. We might receive good news or offers now. We prefer to think about the big picture rather than becoming bogged down with details. This transit favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, accurate diagnoses and observations (all things equal).

MercurysquarePluto Mercury trine Neptune. Saturday, 24 October 12:55
Imagination and intuition run high, and are involved in decisions made today. We are in the right place at the right time. We may easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others. We express ourselves with subtle flair. Favors photography, the arts, poetry, fiction, spirituality, advertising, and promotion.

MercuryLibra Mercury enters Scorpio. Wednesday, 28 October 06:08

MercurysquarePluto Mercury sextile Pluto. Wednesday, 28 October 23:52

MercurysquarePluto Mercury square Mars. Sunday, 1 November 19:50 (double check time vs. time change!)
Impatience, hastiness, and disagreements characterize this transit. This is an unfavorable time for any kind of meeting, starting a new project, and business proposals. We can be irritable and say all the wrong things. We may be competing for the floor when it comes to expressing our ideas, thoughts, and opinions, making it difficult to engage in healthy dialogue. Mental agitation could dominate. We may stir up controversy with what we say, or how we say it.

Venusopposition Venus opposition Uranus. Friday, 9 October 18:00
Sudden attractions that may not last come under this influence. Similarly, impulsive attractions to material items that later prove to be unappealing occur now. This is not a good time to start a new relationship nor for any significant financial undertaking. Values and tastes may clash, and group activities may suffer as a result. Impulsive attractions to both people and material goods can lead us astray. Avoid impulse buys at this time. Some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness are probable in romantic relationships. We may not see eye to eye, and we might be taken off guard by unexpected events. This is not a favorable aspect for beauty treatments because they could have unexpected results. We may struggle with freedom versus intimacy issues at this time. It’s wise to hold off on decision-making with regards to finances and relationships. However, if we can separate rebellion from a sincere need for change, we might open ourselves up to new ways of dealing with others.

Venus conjunct Saturn. Tuesday, 13 October 06:51
Affections stabilize and mature. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. An air of formality is brought to personal and social relationships. A new sense of realism in existing partnerships comes now. A sense of duty may lead us to sacrifice a personal pleasure for a cause or for a loved one; thus we may have to abstain from personal gratification for the time being. Problems in personal relationships that have been swept under the carpet may surface now, and we are ready to face them. Dissatisfaction with loved ones becomes more glaring. Renewed ties to old friends or lovers are possible, or a new sense of responsibility in existing relationships.

Venus sextile Mars. Tuesday, 13 October 14:30
This points to success and ease in close personal interactions. We are passionate and sexy. It is a good time for financial ventures, social life, artistic pursuits, romance, and pleasure. We are now able to take the initiative and to achieve harmony and sexual fulfillment. This influence brings satisfaction to the feelings. We may make permanent ties or relationships that prove to be fruitful and fortunate.

VenusLibra Venus enters Libra. Wednesday, 14 October 06:46

Venus square Pluto. Thursday, 15 October 13:21
Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.

Venus trine Jupiter. Wednesday, 28 October 22:01
Friendliness and optimism characterize this transit. We are big-hearted and our feelings are expansive. The outlook is cheerful and hopeful and the atmosphere is cooperative. This is a sociable, perhaps lazy and self-indulgent, time. We easily find meaning in our social connections. We are more open and trusting of friends and lovers. Integrity and loyalty are favored. A favorable influence for winning people’s trust. Speculation, advertising, publishing, and travel are favored.

Venus trine Neptune. Monday, 2 November 18:21
We are more attuned to the world of beauty, the arts, and the imagination. Compassion, harmony, kindness, and openness characterize this transit. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. This can be a “magical” time on a romantic and social level. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships. Romance is highly favored.

MarstrineUranus Mars trine Uranus. Sunday, 4 October 21:36
Bursts of energy and creativity. We are willing to take risks, possess personal courage, and can readily effect positive changes in our lives. We are naturally bold and assertive, willing to experiment, and conscious of a need to act independently. Our ideas may be ground-breaking, and at the very least progressive. A strong desire to make things happen is with us now.

MarsCancersextileUranusVirgo Mars sextile Saturn. Monday, 12 October 15:51
Work takes on definite shape, and we can see results from our efforts. This gives us a sense of responsibility and a feeling of directedness and purposefulness. This is a good time to temper our energy and to exercise better judgment. A good time to get and feel organized. Seniority is favored now. Traditional methods work, and thoroughness brings rewards.

VenusLibra Mars enters Leo. Friday, 16 October 11:32

MarsLeosextileSaturnLibra Mars sextile Saturn.  15 February | 24 March, 2010

(June 4 opposite Neptune; June 15 trine Pluto)

Jupiter/opposition Jupiter ENDS retrograde motion. Tuesday, 13 November 00:34

conjunctNeptune Jupiter conjunct Neptune. Monday, 21 December 03:50
Idealistic and humanitarian goals or impulses surface now. A spirit of altruism and generosity, making connections with others from a different background, widening our minds through unusual or different experiences, expanded faith, and a feeling that anything is possible if we set our sights high enough are all themes. Practical considerations could take a back seat now. We more easily make personal sacrifices for what we believe to be the better good. Everyday, ordinary life doesn’t satisfy, as we hunger for a more idealistic life. This can lead to disappointment or strong feelings of discontent and restlessness. We may need a reality check in order to keep our expectations realistic. Caution should be exercised with legal matters, finances, and other worldly, practical affairs, as the tendency to ignore critical details or to take foolish risks runs high.

(Next Jupiter conjunction Neptune is April 15 2022… and it’s quick, not the in and out and over and over and over we’ve had this year.)

SaturnLibra Saturn enters Libra. Thursday, 29 October 13:08

squareUranus Saturn square Pluto. Sunday, 15 November 10:19

No blurb at cafeastrology for this ugly, nasty bad boy, that can be just as bad as Saturn’s opposition to Uranus.  Blech, as they say.
…but hey, I did find a blurb for this ugly-ass aspect over at http://www.astrologyinsights.com/!  ’tain’t bad, neether… here’s what they had to say about it:

“Saturn, the principle of consolidation challenges Pluto, the great force for transformation and change. This is where the rubber meets the road. This square represents a crossroads in the new era that began with September 11, 2001. That fateful day fell in the midst of a powerful Saturn / Pluto opposition that began the summer of 2001 and continued throughout 2002. This square between Saturn and Pluto may be when the U.S. removes its forces from Iraq and we bring a close to this chapter of our history. It also will mark a time when we clearly acknowledge that our world is not the same. We are in a new era, never to return to the old way of doing things. Saturn and Pluto move into their first exact square on November 15 at Libra / Capricorn 2 degrees. They move into exact squares twice in 2010, first on February 1 at Libra / Capricorn 5 degrees and again on August 22 at Libra / Capricorn 3 degrees.”

I’ll clarify that Saturn was in Gemini and Pluto was in Sagittarius back in 2001 when they made that opposition, and I disagree that this was the “start” of a cycle.  Cycles begin with a conjunction, in my opinion.  This particular Saturn-Pluto cycle we’re in currently, began way back in 1982, when Saturn conjuncted Pluto in Libra.  1993, Saturn in Aquarius squared Pluto in Scorpio rolling away from the conjunction, so that was the first dose of Saturn-Pluto unpleasantness.  2001 was the pinnacle of its nastiness, and now we’re in the swirl of the final bit of ick, rolling through this final Saturn-Pluto square—which is sandwiched between and later, acts as a chaser after the dreaded Saturn opposition Uranus—as we approach a new cycle with the next conjunction that happens around about 2020, when Saturn conjuncts Pluto in its earthy home sign of Capricorn… obviously, some of us will have shaken this mortal coil, but if you’re curious, the opposition for the next cycle takes place in 2035 and involves Leo and Aquarius.

!!! and now that I’ve written all this, I locate a purdy darned good page about the cycle, that even lists specific events throughout the various aspects.  Definitely not some half-assed, on-the-fly astrology thang (unlike the blogs and radio spots of some certain individuals who shall remain nameless ;) ), for real, check this link if you’re interested in Saturn-Pluto cycles:
http://www.maplesprout.com/Cosmic_Timing_and_Cycles.html

retrograde(Virgo)oppositionUranus(Pisces) Saturn (back in Virgo) opposite Uranus (in Pisces).  26 April, 2010

A real feeling of restlessness is in the air now. Attempts to assert our individuality, freedom, and originality undermine our feeling of groundedness and security. Yet, we are not satisfied when we conform. There may be sudden and unexpected twists that force us to do something different or free ourselves from old habits. Adjusting our plans is in order, and striking a balance between convention and innovation is the challenge. Setbacks tend to be temporary and often lead to new, more creative paths or solutions. Ambivalence is likely and could color many of our interactions. It can be challenging to make one particular decision and stick to it.

…and from alabe.com…

This transit emphasizes inequalities in society, the conflicts between the “haves” and the “have-nots.” This may also be a time of severe socio-economic stress and even financial recession. Changes of rule and authority in many fields leave people feeling unstable and insecure. It is a time of frustration, accidents, rigid resistance to change, and attacks on authorities.

LibraoppositionUranusretrogradeAries Saturn opposite Uranus.  26 July, 2010
Thank our gracious lord that’s over.

Late.  That problem with the minutes between 6:30pm and 7:30pm being shorter than the other minutes of the day struck again.  Or, call it 14:30 – 15:30 UT if ya wanna get all technical and accurate and all.  We’ll be able to test the UT theory when we go back to regular time November 1.  Anyways, it was only about 5 minutes, and translated for the listeners, im Interim, you got to hear a tune from that new Jandek CD.  I gladly take the Jandek as an opener.

25/9/9 19:00-21:00

Yeah.  I played Aerosmith.  I’ve been thinking about it for weeks.  I dedicate the Aerosmith tune—in fact, I dedicate *all* Aerosmith tunes I ever play from now till something happens to change my mind—to murdermart, because I know it’s murdermart’s favoritest band *ever*, in the whole wide world.  Contrary to any denials put forth, we all know that’s the truth. :)

Despite all my confusion about what band is playing where, when, and what day it is, this was a two-hour dealy that didn’t seem to be over even before I started.  Of course, I haven’t listened to it yet, so we’ll see.  Only if and until some meaningful contrary observation made upon review disproves, I put forth a resolute argument that this show went extremely well.  Of course, I may be feeling this way because I played 2 Amish Jihad tunes, but I contend the Jihad only acts to support my theory.

18/9/9 19:00-21:00

…and remember, there’s absolutely nothing else in town worth going to hear tomorrow night, except the show at Reservoir.  At least, IMHO.

After espying recent weirdness here, at my blog, from a day or two ago, I decided I’d cruise around and see what else was happening, as far as nonweird and *welcome* reader perusals go.

Instantaneous and complete gratification ensued, as one of my ancient blog entries (from 4 years ago, that I transferred to here from myspace) was getting hit by someone searching wordpress for “amish jihad.”

*That’s* the kind of thing I *like* to see happening at my blog.

So, sitting here in the prod room, no small surprise that this observation prodded me to visit the Amish Jihad myspace page

There’s always a flash of nostalgia for the old amishjihad.com website, RIP, RESPECT, before I check their current myspace page.  I miss their original, now defunkt website.  I mean, it was just fun having a website with the domain name, amishjihad, existing in cyberspace with authentic content.  Alas, ’twas an early victim of the foreclosure crisis, so the crib in the projects is better’n'nuttin’, I know.

Upon arrival, there in the abject little boxes of myspace, I saw the instigating agent for these somewhat recent “amish jihad” pokes.

I had to go to Hot Graves to find the casings, but we’ve got rock solid evidence:

Amish Jihad Reunion Tour!

The only show I couldn’t find a flyer for was the one here in Carrboro at Reservoir, so the vicarious vibes of art for the other three shows’ll just have to do for now:

   September 17, 2009 Gainesville, FL

September 18, 2009 Myrtle Beach, SC

Couldn't find a fkn flyer for this show   September 19, 2009 Carrboro, NC

   September 20, 2009 Asheville, NC

All shows with original jihadist, Mike!!!!!!!!

(September 4, 2009 astrology cheat sheet)

I’ve been meaning to use this the past couple weeks in the astrological weather report, but I always forget I put it together and left it here…

It’s been cloaked as private, but wtf, I’m making it public since I keep forgetting to use it during the show.

For anyone who may be interested in astrological weather, these are different blurbs than the alabe.com ones; taken from cafeastrology.com they tend to have not-so-much the global emphasis one gets with alabe blurbs. They’re more individual-oriented. If you go to cafeastrology, you’ll not find them presented as they are below; I formatted them for my own use. That is, they look different there, and I added the dates/times, all of which are Eastern Time.

Anyways, things really are kind of gloomy and icky and unpleasant astrologically until at least September 17, and really till the middle of October, so here’s a written heads-up to make up for my absent-minded verbal reports.

I know the stock market has been steadily rising the past couple weeks, but I’d personally advise against any kind of gambling—emotional, financial, political, whatever—until at least October.  1.) The Saturn opposition Uranus played hell with the markets last November and when it returned again in February, almost to the hour.  2.) Venus opposite Neptune is all about getting tricked out of love, money, business as a result of illusion and/or deception.  Generally, from the news and trends, it seems like things should continue to improve, but until all this blatant unpleasantness passes, I’d not be hedging bets.

I’m just sayin’…

…hyah ’tis:

SunOppositionUranus Sun opposition Uranus. Thursday, 17 September 05:41
We want freedom, and we refuse to conform. Our wants are somewhat unstable and changeable. Sudden changes of plans are likely, and could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.

Sun conjunct Saturn. Thursday, 17 September 13:22
This is a time when we are called upon to “get real”. We feel the constraints of time and are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. We may feel overworked; alternatively, we welcome some discipline into our lives. Avoid launching new projects, particularly financial ones. Instead, work on a new plan for creating order in your life, or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being; thus we could feel sapped on a physical level. However, making new commitments to old goals, shouldering responsibilities, and making careful use of our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives.

Mercury Sun conjunct Mercury. Sunday, 20 September 06:04
We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!

Pluto Sun square Pluto. Wednesday, 23 September 10:22
Insubordination and abuse of power. Impatience with rules. Compulsiveness. The urge to get to the bottom of matters is with us, but we are too insistent. Avoid beating a dead horse and attempting to force matters that should naturally take time to unfold. Circumstances now can push us to discover our own power–power that comes from a strong sense of self rather than superficial energy derived from manipulating people into doing what we want them to do.

Mercuryretrograde Mercury begins retrograde motion. Monday, 7 September 00:44

MercurysquarePluto Mercury square Pluto. Thursday, 17 September 07:45

MercuryretrogradeVirgo Mercury moving retrograde, enters Virgo. Thursday, 17 September 23:26

MercuryconjunctionSaturn Mercury conjunct Saturn. Tuesday, 22 September 05:07

MercuryoppositionUranus Mercury opposite Uranus. Wednesday, 23 September 11:35
We are distracted. Our communications get lost or are misunderstood. Disagreements with others are quite possible. It’s not a good time to present an argument or an important idea.

Venusopposition Venus opposition Jupiter. Friday, 11 September 03:54
The love nature is strong, but given to extremes. Over-inflated expectations and the tendency to overstate our affections are things to watch out for. We may overvalue something (or someone), perhaps in an attempt to dramatize our lives. We are sociable, in the mood to party, dramatic, extravagant, and inclined to overindulge as a result of this inner discontent and desire for more from life than daily routines.

Venus opposition Neptune. Tuesday, 15 September 05:36
Problems with love or money matters crop up because of our lack of the ability to discriminate at this time. It’s easy to see what we want to see, rather than what actually is. We may be more vulnerable emotionally, and thus more susceptible to deceit or self-deceit. Romantic and idealistic imagination is aroused now, and we may be especially put off by anything vulgar or harsh. If possible, put off major decision making regarding social and romantic involvements, as well as finances.

MarsLeosextileSaturnLibra Mars sextile Saturn.  15 February | 24 March, 2010

(June 4 opposite Neptune; June 15 trine Pluto)

conjunctNeptune Jupiter conjunct Neptune.

OppositionUranus Saturn opposition Uranus. Tuesday, 15 September 08:51
